Meet our Volunteer Centre Team

 

Emma Golesworthy, Manager & Meath Volunteer Centre's Garda Vetting Liaison Officer 

photo emmaEmma is the Manager of Meath Volunteer Centre and is responsible for the day to day management of the Centre. She is also one of the Centre's volunteer management trainers and our appointed Garda Vetting Liaison Officer.  In addition to the day to day management of the centre, Emma focuses on building and developing relationships with local volunteer-involving organisations, supporting them to identify where potential volunteering opportunities may lie within their organisation and offering support and advice on all other aspects of volunteer management. Emma is also responsible for the effective recruitment and training of the volunteers.

Caroline Smith, Placement Officer

photo carolineCaroline is our Placement Officer, she joined the team in 2017 and is looking after the recruitment of the volunteers, their matching with the current opportunities available and supports the volunteers throughout their volunteering experience. She is also offering advice and support to both volunteers and non-profit organisation through a wide range of services including information, consultation, volunteer management and training. Caroline's role also includes promoting volunteering across the community through activities such as reach outs, presentations, workshops, conferences etc.

 Laura Campbell- Volunteer Development Officer

Laura joined us in 2022 and is supporting volunteer-involving organisations as well as facilitating community groups in service provision to their users throughout the county. Her role also includes developing volunteer role descriptions and promoting volunteering across the community through activities such as reach outs, presentations, workshops, conferences etc. and Laura is also our appointed Garda Vetting Liaison Officer.
