Meath Volunteer Centre is involved in developing and promoting volunteerism throughout Meath, and supporting the Voluntary organisations in maximising their volunteers’ efforts. This includes:

        • Developing and managing a database of volunteer candidates

        • Gathering information and generating volunteer role opportunities for voluntary organisations, informing them about how volunteers can help them in their service provision

        • Advising candidates about suitable roles with voluntary organisations, and referring suitable registered volunteers to the organisations and

        • Advising voluntary organisations about best practices in managing volunteers

In addition, we look to involve the Volunteer centre in the wider community and voluntary sector throughout Meath; playing an important role in creating awareness of the contribution Volunteers can make, and facilitating community groups in service provision to their users throughout the county.

The Meath Volunteer Centre office opens from 9.00am-5.30pm Monday-Friday.
